Tournament will be 2 rounds each day, players meeting is at 8:30 a.m. Feb 20th and 21st.

Register online at fabflatour.org, click Indian Hammocks Open, click Entry form. We have posted some of the forms at the kiosk at Indian Hammocks Park for your convenience. We need the club to turn out next weekend to help make the course tournament ready. Please contact Dan at 305-490-7676 or Trey. We’re looking to start at 9 am so we don’t have to deal with the heat.

It was agreed upon that future meetings will have a treasurer’s report, showing what money was collected, and how money is being spent. All monies in and out will be handled by Carlos.

It was agreed that a list of club property should be made (baskets, locks, tents, tourney discs,etc.)

It was agreed that aces will only pay $100 to non club members, or to members whose membership has lapsed. It was agreed that new membership is $20 per year, and renewal is $10.00 per year. Membership expires the 31st of December, and there is a one month grace period through January 31st to renew without penalty. After that, if your dues aren’t current and you hit an ace, you will only get $100. Paid members will receive the full $200 ace payout. It was agreed that members will receive a membership card.

It was agreed that official league days at Indian Hammocks are Tuesday, Friday and Saturday, with the exception of the 3rd Saturday of the month, which is played at Amelia Earhart park. Tuesday and Friday rounds are played at 4pm, 5pm after daylight savings begins. Saturday rounds begin at 2pm, 3 pm after daylight savings time begins. It was agreed that there will now be a club sanctioned round at 10AM every Sunday at Amelia Earhart park.

It was agreed that there will be quarterly membership meetings, the first Wednesday of March, June, September, and December. It was agreed that if members wish to discuss an issue at a meeting, that item, in the form of a proposal or question, should be submitted to the secretary at least 2 weeks prior to the meeting (discgusted@hotmail.com). The secretary has agreed to make meeting minutes available one week after the quarterly meeting. If an item during the meeting is deemed to be referred to the general membership for a vote so as to include members who couldn’t attend the meeting, the secretary will post the matter for consideration at the park kiosk and on the website, and it will be up to the members to register their votes with the secretary within two weeks of the meeting (by the third Wednesday of the meeting month.) Results of the vote will be announced on the website (miamidiscgolf.com)

It was agreed that John Hogan will be in charge of course management at Indian Hammocks park. It is agreed that course design changes will be decided by John Hogan, Kent and Trey. Lord, have mercy on the rag arms, for they also pay the tithe. It was agreed that Joseph Shaw will draft a mission statement.

It was agreed that there will be an emergency meeting the third Wednesday of January, 2010. The two main topics will be the upcoming tournament and workdays required, and a special event at Crandon park to demonstrate disc golf to the county commissioners that following Saturday, using portable baskets (practice baskets) to set up a course. We need a big turnout with everyone on their best behavior for this, as the county is preparing to ante up the bucks to build as many as 10 new courses.

If you have a practice basket, please volunteer it and show up to play. Preston will be tournament director for the PDGA event in February at Indian Hammocks and will need volunteers as well.
